Employment, Purpose, and Recovery This foundational North Thread module helps young adults in North Idaho understand how employment can be a powerful tool for substance use prevention and recovery. Meaningful work provides structure, financial stability, personal responsibility, and a sense of purpose, all of which are protective factors that support long-term wellness. Participants will learn how to use the 24/7 North Thread support chatbot, build a resume, prepare for employment opportunities, and connect with local job readiness and workforce resources. The module also introduces community supports that can help individuals overcome barriers to employment and strengthen their recovery journey. By building workforce skills and increasing access to support, participants can take practical steps toward greater independence, stability, and a healthier future.
